Capacity Building and Training: supporting nonprofits

Who can apply for a Capacity Building Grant?

Non-profit organizations serving New Braunfels and Comal County who have been the recipient of a grant from the McKenna Foundation may apply for capacity building support.

How to apply?

The first step is to submit the Capacity Building Grant Application Form with answers to the narrative questions. If approved, this Phase 1 application will grant your organization $250 to participate in taking the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT). The assessment tool provides insight into how your organization operates and areas where capacity building support is needed as well as recommendations.

The McKenna Foundation will review Phase 2 Capacity Building Grant Applications from nonprofit organizations who have received their CCAT results and are in need of further funding to complete a capacity building goal. Phase 1 funding does not guarantee further funding from a Phase 2 application.
